Áron Molnár: “I Told Myself I’d Rest After the Elections, But I Didn’t account for a Few Things”

Áron Molnár has been speaking out on public issues for many years. After the elections, he promised himself he would finally take a break, but in a recent Instagram post he wrote that he will continue creating the kind of content he is known for, as there were a few things he did not anticipate which he also listed in his post.
As he explains, many people use his platforms as a source of news, which carries great responsibility especially now that a new “season of NERflix” has been released.
“I wouldn’t have thought they would start devouring each other so quickly, and exposing the lies of the system they themselves created. While we must be empathetic toward Fidesz voters, because it can be devastating to realize they were deceived for years, those who caused the damage must be confronted with their actions and held accountable. If we do not remind ourselves of the crimes committed by Fidesz, there will be no real regime change. If we do not demand accountability, they will return, using the same tools,” Molnár explained.
According to him, if people withdraw from politics now, a proper system of checks and balances which should form the foundation of society and remain critical of any government will not be established.
“This is the only way we can avoid falling into the trap of becoming a society that is told what to think again. We can become an active, critical nation, but we must lay its first bricks together now. We must monitor the formation of the new government to ensure that professionalism and the future of our country are truly the priorities. We must remember the promises and remind ourselves why we voted for change. I want us to be cheerful, critical, and well informed this is the perfect formula for Hungary’s new society.”
He added that he does plan to rest as well he wants to return to working out and get some sleep but believes there are still many questions Hungarians are waiting to have answered.
“Viktor, Márton, Jani, Peti, Tóni… guys, where is our money? Who is Henry? Why did you cover up the child prostitution network created from children raised in state care? Who is ‘Uncle Zsolt’? The majority of Hungarians are still waiting for answers… to these as well… Did I miss anything? Write it in the comments!”
