Judit Varga launches a podcast series, taking on a new role

After a long time, Judit Varga has once again appeared in public: the former Minister of Justice will host a new legal podcast. In the program, she will talk with Central European lawyers, professors, and judges about various professional topics.

Judit Varga returns to the public in a new role: the former Minister of Justice will be the host of a legal themed podcast. The politician, who resigned following the pardon scandal and then withdrew from public life, will lead the program titled Central European Legal Insights, produced by the Central European Academy (CEA) affiliated with the University of Miskolc.

According to the podcast’s description, the aim of the series is to feature university professors, judges, and legal scholars from across Central Europe. The first season consists of six episodes, which were recorded last autumn between September and December, but have not been released until now.

Guests appearing in the podcast

Among the guests will be Vladan Petrov, President of the Constitutional Court of Serbia; Petar Bačić, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Split; and Tanja Karakamiševa Jovanovska, professor at the University of Skopje.

Further episodes will feature Aleksander Stępkowski, a member of the Polish Supreme Court and former state secretary in the previous PiS government, as well as Katarzyna Zombory, research director, and János Ede Szilágyi, strategic director at the Central European Academy. Dalibor Đukić, associate professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, will also be a guest.
