Bogi Nagy Opens Up About Her Divorce: “We Worked Hard on Our Marriage, but It Didn’t Work Out”

Hungarian singer Bogi Nagy announced in January this year that she was divorcing her husband after two and a half years of marriage. The decision came as a surprise to many, as their relationship had appeared harmonious from the outside. However, the singer has now spoken candidly about what was happening behind the scenes. Although the breakup was emotionally challenging, she now feels that this period was necessary for her life to take a new direction.

The singer discussed her experience on the Csibész Boiz show, explaining that the marriage did not end because of arguments or dramatic conflicts it simply ran its course. She revealed that both of them invested a great deal of energy into trying to save the relationship, but ultimately had to accept that they needed to continue on separate paths. She described this period as liberating, saying she no longer has to adapt to anyone else’s schedule or expectations she can sit down to make music even in the early hours of the morning and fully devote herself to her creativity. While some fans have approached her romantically one even asking her out just hours after the divorce announcement she found these advances more off-putting than flattering.

“There was no shouting, and in hindsight, he also realized it was for the best. I feel the same way, though of course I’ve been asked why we got married in the first place. Back then, we believed in it. It’s hard to process that you had a vision of the future, and it can fall apart at any moment. We really worked hard on it, but it just didn’t work out,” she said about her relationship with Marcell Nyári.

The singer made it clear that she is now in a phase of her life where she wants to build herself both personally and professionally. She feels that her time has finally
