Hollywood in Hungary: Famous Movies Filmed in Stunning Hungarian Locations

Hungary is not only famous for its beautiful architecture, history, and thermal baths it has also become a popular filming destination for Hollywood productions. Many visitors are surprised to discover that some famous international movies were actually filmed in Budapest and other Hungarian locations.  

One of the most impressive examples is “The Martian” (2015), starring Matt Damon. Parts of the movie were filmed at Korda Filmpark near Budapest, where huge sets were built to create the feeling of a NASA base on Mars.
