The quiet Hungarian village of Etyek may look ordinary, but it has become one of Central Europe’s most important filmmaking locations.

Large international productions are regularly filmed there because Hungary offers skilled film crews, impressive architecture, and lower production costs compared to Western Europe. Massive studios near Etyek have hosted scenes for science fiction movies, historical dramas, and fantasy series.

Many visitors are surprised to learn that parts of futuristic cities, medieval castles, and even foreign capitals seen in Hollywood films were actually built in Hungary.
