Students taking today’s mathematics final exam encountered tasks similar in structure and difficulty to those of previous years, according to teacher Péter Horváth.
“The exam closely resembled those of recent years and provided a good representation of the intermediate level curriculum,” said Péter Horváth, a mathematics and physics teacher and principal of the Révai Miklós Secondary School and Dormitory in Győr.
Tasks covered all major topics
“The first section focused specifically on conceptual knowledge. Students were exposed to virtually every topic included in the secondary school curriculum,” he explained, before detailing the main subject areas.
“The highest number of points could be earned from combinatorics and probability problems,” Horváth noted in his evaluation of the test. Geometry particularly area, volume, and surface calculations also played a significant role, along with sequences and compound interest type problems.
