A recent photo shows Katinka Hosszú’s younger daughter

A new image of seven month old Szofi has been shared something her parents have not shown before.

Since becoming a mother, Katinka Hosszú has made an effort to protect her private life from the public eye. She only rarely shares photos of her children on social media, though her husband, Máté, more often offers glimpses into their family life. Most recently, he posted a photo on Instagram featuring their second child, seven month old Szofi: father and daughter were captured enjoying the spring sunshine in the exact same pose.

Katinka Hosszú, who officially retired from professional swimming in January 2025, married Máté Layber Gelencsér in August 2022. Their first child, Kamília Layber Gelencsér, was born in August 2023.
