The actress and director made an unusual request to the actor.
Viewers will soon see Gellért L. Kádár in Kata Dobó’s upcoming film One More Wish, but before filming began, the director had a rather unexpected request for the actor.
“She really liked what she saw, but she had one request for me if I got the role: during the filming period, could I stop working out, because Karesz the character I’m supposed to portray isn’t exactly a muscle giant,” the actor explained.
Although Kádár already had an athletic physique before Hunyadi, his muscular appearance did not fit the look of his new character.
“It’s simply the result of a realistic routine and a sustainable lifestyle,” Kádár continued, admitting that he was somewhat puzzled by the request.
“I laughed to myself and thought, okay, I accept that, but then one question came up: why did they think of me for the role in the first place? It doesn’t work like I can just snap my fingers, stop training, and my body suddenly collapses overnight. Even if I don’t work out every day, it’s enough to start the morning with a quick 10 minute exercise routine my blood circulation gets going, and my muscles immediately pump up because they remember.”
In the end, they reached a compromise: the actor reduced his training sessions to once or twice a week and deliberately avoided exercising before filming days.
